Spirit Spinner Craft

 I wanted to share this craft my friend brandon showed me i plan on making one with my daughter hopefully soon. I just wish we had a tree to put it in but i guess it would work just as well on our front porch. :)

~ Make Your Own Spirit Spinner ~

A spirit spinner is a round hoop with diiferent strips of fabric streaming down from it (like pictured here). They are said to invite elemental or spirit energy - which is recognized with the twisting and spinning motion.
You will need an embroidery hoop, whichever size you like, and lots of strips of fabric. Be creative! You can mix and match lots of fabric strips or you can color coordinate - its up to you!
Affix the strips of fabric to the embroidery hoop with hot glue or you can even knot them. You may also add in lengths of beads, ribbon, add gemstones to the bottoms of the fabric strips or hang some gemstones by clear fishing line.... the abilities to "make this your own" are limitless!
Use three lengths of twine tied to three points of the top of the hoop, to give you a hanger. You may use a round keyring to attach the top portion of the twine, this will give you an easy way to hang it.
Before you hang your spinner, say a quick blessing over it and ask the Goddess to bring forth only positive spirits. Infuse your own positive energy into the spinner before you hang it.
